Having a variety of waters to
fish in Northern New Mexico, most fisherman that know and fish
the area usually have two or more rods for good reason. A rod
that is well suited to fish the wide open Rio Grande may not
work well on the tree lined banks of Lower Red. With this in
mind, HMA has come up with the "Northern New Mexico
Series" line of rods. Keeping in mind the variety of waters in the area, each rod is built with a specific stream or river in mind here in NNM. With the many rods listed below, you'll surely find one to match a favorite stream in your area. These rods are great entry level handcrafted rod for those on a budget. Built with quality components each rod is sure to perform better than most factory rods off the shelf. Flyrods are built on Rainshadow RX7 Graphite Blanks and come in an olive green gloss finish or matte clear finish with a med/fast action. Spin rods are built on RX6 Graphite Blanks and come in a clear gloss finish. Rainshadow blanks have been compared in performance to some of the higher end blanks out on the market. They perform just as well if not better than some of the high end blanks, but are priced well within any ones budget. With that we are able to build that quality custom rod at a fraction of the price. With components from Batson Enterprises, these rods are sure to perform well and please any novice or expert fisherman out there. We use them for all our guide trips as well as for our personal use.
